ME 201 Engineering Statics An introduction to rigid body mechanics using vector representation. The course covers free body diagrams, and static equilibrium in two and three-dimensional space. Problems in trusses, frames and simple mechanisms are solved. Methods in problem solving techniques using computer-based approaches are developed. Lab experiments are performed by the students to support the theory in the lecture hall. The students prepare professional level reports. (Prerequisites: PS 15, EG 31, MA 126).
