Camping

Kettletown State Park, Southbury, CT

$13/night, first come first serve (no reservations accepted), shower and bathroom facilities

Located about 1 hour, 20 minutes from Day 1 (Norwalk) and 25 minutes from Day 2 (Derby). Click here for a Google map with directions to/from Kettletown and meet sites.

Another option:

Webb Mountain park in Monroe, CT

Located about 1 hour 5 minutes from Day 1 (Norwalk) and 20 minutes from Day 2 (Derby). Click here for a Google map with directions to/from Webb and meet sites.

Water but no bathrooms. Cost is $5 for the first 5 people on a site, $5 for up to 5 more people. So it's slightly closer than Kettletown and cheaper but more primitive. To reserve a site, we have to go in person to town hall and buy a permit. If anyone is interested in this option, email Susan DeWitt at skdewitt (at) snet.net by August 22.
