University Chaplain/Director of Campus Ministry and Community Service, is the son of the late Madeleine and Alphonse Carrier of Fall River, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate degree in English and philosophy at Boston College in 1972. At the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California, he received a Masters of Divinity and a Master .s in Sacred Theology in 1977, the same year of his ordination. Immediately after ordination in 1977, he served as a campus minister and taught religious studies at Fairfield until 1979, when he went to Brown University as a fellow. In 1988, Paul earned his Ph.D. in religion and education from Boston College. Paul coordinates the Brebeuf Service Community in the Townhouses. He teaches in the Faith, Peace and Justice Program, as well as coordinating the Mission Volunteers and Global Outreach. He is in his ninth year in campus ministry.
