The purpose of the Educational Planning Committee is "to review and evaluate initiatives in long-range planning and, when deemed necessary, to evaluate the status of schools, educational programs, and permanent institutes," and to choose "one member to attend and participate in meetings of the Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees . . . per the standing invitation of the Board"  Fairfield University Faculty Handbook, Eleventh Edition (2013), p. 16-17.
