Part 5: Prospects
Some people, like Barry Hughes, who created International Futures,
have a very positive outlook for Nepal. I, on the other hand, find myself
to be very skeptical. Nepal is yet to find a form of government that all
of its citizens agree with. Whether this is due to a religious matter, or
just a difference of opinion is still to be determined. Despite this political
struggle, Nepal has been able to increase its standard of living. The future
of Nepal seems to be a bright one, but it might take a little longer
then some people are expecting it to. One area that I am very impressed
of is Nepal's education. I am a firm believer that teaching people will
improve their lives faster and longer then if you gave them something.
If Nepal continues to educate its children and can find a way to
stabalize its government, it will soon become a developed nation.
