David Gudelunas, (Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania) is an Associate Professor of Communication at Fairfield University in Connecticut where he also is Director of Women’s Studies and Coordinator of the Internship Program in Communication. Gudelunas researches and teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of critical and cultural studies, gender, sexuality and communication, media history and communication industries. He is the author of "Confidential to America: Newspaper Advice Columns and Sexual Education" from Transaction Publishers (2008) and is widely published in the areas of popular communication as well as the intersections of sexuality and communication. He serves on the editorial boards of Sexuality and Culture as well as Critical Studies in Media Communication. Gudelunas has appeared in local and national media including MSNBC, The Christian Science Monitor, News 8 Connecticut, the Connecticut Post and the LA Daily News.
Gudelunas lives in Manhattan where he also consults in advertising and market research for a variety of iconic brands.
