I have been beyond obsessed with “Mad Men” of late, and while I know I am really late on this, the show is brilliant. I’ve been catching on the second season on train rides home from campus and it has made me look forward to even the slowest and most crowded Metro-North trains. Notably, the mid-century vibe of the show alone is enough to earn my praise, but a show that so beautifully captures the formative years of the US advertising industry is a big bonus. Below is one of the best clips from the show, when the protagonist introduces the “Carousel” slide projector, adding some advertising magic to what is essentially a wheel.
