Grading System:  The laboratory grade is based on testing and attendance.  Lab comprises 1/4 of the course grade.

Policies:

·        Laboratory attendance for the entire lab period is essential for success in this course and will be taken every lab period. Absences will be reported to Nursing School.  If more than 3 laboratories are missed, your lab grade will be affected (you are responsible for making up the work on your own when possible).

·         Lab exams CANNOT be made up and therefore absence from a lab exam will result in a grade of zero for that exam.

·        It is expected that you return to lab on your own time (check lab availability) to review material.

·        Make use of the atlas and websites given to review histology photomicrographs, bones, and muscles when lab is not available.  A one-time look at the slides, bones, and muscles in lab and a quick review before the lab test is NOT sufficient!  It is essential to study and review daily to master the material!

·        Please read the laboratory exercise and label all figures PRIOR to coming to lab.  After lab, you should complete all questions for that lab to aid in the review of the material for lab tests.

·        If you have a documented disability and wish to discuss academic accommodations please contact: Office of Academic and Disability Support Services, the Kelley Center, ext 2615.

I will work with you and that office to best accommodate your needs.
